Does Seed require an account?
No separate Seed account is currently required. Seed operates in guest mode. Private CloudKit synchronization uses the iCloud account already configured on your Apple device when available.
Where is my founder information stored?
Private workspace records are stored locally on your device and may synchronize through the private CloudKit database associated with your iCloud account. The replaceable discovery catalog is stored separately from founder records.
Does Seed track my location?
No continuous tracking is used. Seed requests a single foreground location only after you choose “Use current location.” It does not retain location history, and manual city entry is always available.
Does Seed sell my data or use advertising trackers?
No. Seed does not sell personal information, build advertising profiles, or include a third-party advertising or analytics SDK in the current app.
How can I delete my information?
Delete records using the controls available in the app. Removing the app removes its local data from that device, while information synchronized through iCloud may remain subject to your iCloud settings and Apple’s retention practices. Email Seed if you need help understanding the available options.
Is Seed financial, investment, legal, or tax advice?
No. Seed provides organization, calculations, sourced discovery information, and general educational guidance. Verify important decisions with qualified professionals and original sources.
Why is a startup, resource, or funding item appearing?
Seed uses sourced geography, industry, stage, capital type, and date information. Discovery records retain provenance and an evidence label. Open the item’s source before relying on eligibility, deadlines, or other material details.
How do I report incorrect or outdated discovery information?
Use the email button above and include the item title, original source URL, and the specific correction. Do not include private founder or customer information.
Does the Seed website use cookies?
The current static website does not include analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or a contact form. Hosting infrastructure may retain routine security and delivery logs.
When should I expect a reply?
Messages are reviewed as availability allows. No guaranteed response time is offered, but concise reports with reproducible details are easier to investigate.
